Level ground, and where the water goes

Wilson lies in North Carolina’s Coastal Plain, a region of mostly level to gently sloping land. NC State Extension recommends bermuda, zoysia and centipede for the coastal plain, rates St. Augustine as best adapted to it, and notes that tall fescue can be kept here on the heavier silt loams. In practice that makes warm-season grasses the usual choice for a sunny Wilson lawn.
